Breaking the BRules Podcast

For Women Creating Success on Their OWN Terms

Conversations, insights, and bold perspectives on the unwritten rules that keep capable women overworking, second-guessing themselves, and playing by everyone else's definition of success.

Through the podcast, speaking engagements, and thought-provoking conversations, Shelli Roberts challenges the conditioning behind women's success—and explores what becomes possible when we stop adapting and start leading from our own authority.

Some of the most powerful conversations begin when someone dares to question what everyone else accepts as normal.

Breaking the BRules is a podcast for capable, ambitious women who are ready to question the unwritten rules they've followed about success, worth, power, and who they're supposed to be as ambitious women and leaders.

Hosted by Shelli Roberts, founder of Inanna's Way, the podcast challenges the conditioning and adaptations that keeps women overworking, second-guessing themselves, playing small, and measuring their success by everyone else's expectations.

Our mission is to help women recognize the (bullshit) rules they've been living by, reclaim their power to choose differently, and create success without sacrificing themselves to achieve it.

We explore personal mastery through the lens of women's lived experiences—particularly the intersection of identity, ambition, leadership, relationships, and the often-invisible expectations shaping our choices.

The Conversations We're Here to Have

We're interested in perspectives that challenge conventional wisdom, illuminate hidden patterns, and offer women new ways to understand themselves and their possibilities.

Some of the conversations we'd love to explore include:

  • The Unwritten Rules of Success: The cultural, professional, familial, and generational expectations women have learned to follow—and what happens when we challenge them.

  • The Hidden Costs of Achievement: Hustle culture, perfectionism, over-functioning, people-pleasing, burnout, and the pressure to constantly prove our worth.

  • Identity, Conditioning & Becoming: How our experiences shape who we believe we must be, and what it takes to outgrow identities that no longer serve us.

  • Power, Authority & Self-Trust: Our complicated relationships with power, visibility, ambition, influence, boundaries, decision-making, and owning our voice.

  • Leadership Beyond the Old Rules: Redefining authentic leadership, challenging outdated models of power, and succeeding without self-betrayal or exhaustion from over functioning.

  • Personal Mastery & Embodied Change: The mind-body-spirit connection, emotional and somatic patterns, intuitive knowing, resilience, and practices that help us translate insight into meaningful change.

  • Creating Success on Our Own Terms: Reinvention, purposeful living, entrepreneurship, fulfillment, and the courage to define a life that reflects your authentic self and values.

We're Looking for Thoughtful Voices, Not Just Expert Advice

We welcome authors, coaches, researchers, entrepreneurs, leaders, practitioners, change-makers, and women with compelling lived experiences who have something meaningful to contribute to these conversations.

You don't have to agree with every perspective we explore. In fact, thoughtful challenges to conventional thinking are part of what makes the conversation valuable.

What matters is your willingness to go beyond familiar talking points, question assumptions, share meaningful insights, and help listeners see something they may not have recognized before, about themselves or about how we show up as ambitious women.

We're especially interested in the BRules you've challenged yourself. What were you taught to believe? How did those beliefs shape your choices? What did it cost you? And what became possible when you began doing things differently?

Our conversations are candid, compassionate, sometimes provocative, and grounded in the belief that women don't need another set of rules telling them who to become.

They need greater freedom to decide for themselves.

Let's Break Some BRules Together

If you have a perspective, experience, or body of work that challenges the status quo and helps women reclaim greater authorship over their lives, we'd love to hear from you.

Tell us which BRule you're ready to challenge, why it matters, and what our listeners might discover through the conversation.

Because creating success on our own terms begins with questioning the rules we never agreed to in the first place.
